On Feb. 8th, 2023, Asbury Seminary had a Move of God upon its students; it changed their lives forever. They encountered their Most Holy God. They publicly confessed & repented, the Spirit of God helped them become free, filling them with a gift from Him: joy.
We can all experience this joy. God is waiting for us to cry out and search with all our hearts for more of His Presence! This is not something casual, its something greater, even spectacular! Not just the students were blessed; it was contagious. Other schools caught the fire of God, even secular Universities. It was God’s choice to bless them at this time and at that location. They were welcoming Him; crying out, crying out for His Presence! They had come to the point that they were “in awe & worshipped Him”, willing to do anything in order to receive His Presence more fully. This can happen to all of us!
After seeing this type of Revival in the Underground Church in China, I had a similar experience at age 51. I yearned to know and experience more. After authentically surrendering myself more fully to Him, I asked for more of His joy. I told the Lord I would hold nothing back, and I meant it. I wanted to be overwhelmed by Him. As I had been soaking in His Word, crying out in prayer, my heart conversing with Him; for many days, I was flooded with His joy! I remembered all the wonderful things that He and I had done together! I saw All that He is, His glory; I was in awe of Him! Joy came upon me and didn’t leave; it kept increasing. This went on for days. Sadness could not find me. I was smiling all the time; so much so, my smiler got tired; so intense I couldn’t sleep. He wanted to show me His joy. I reveled in it for 5-6 days! I finally came to the point that I told the Lord “my body can’t hold all that You want to give me. I love it. Help me smooth out.” Praise God! I was a person overwhelmed by the Presence of God in a new and different way. He wants to give it to each of us, coming to us in bold reality. This Move of God, (sometimes called Revival); this Encounter with God, is available and can continue in one’s life.
