Heart Transformation International wants everyone who visits hearttransformation.org to be able to find information, contact us and take part in the ministry, including people with disabilities.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people who are blind or have low vision, are deaf or hard of hearing, or have motor, speech or cognitive disabilities.
What we’ve done
- Added text descriptions (alt text) to meaningful images
- Checked color contrast so text is easy to read
- Made the site usable with a keyboard, with visible focus outlines and a “skip to content” link
- Used clear headings and labels on forms, buttons and links
- Added an accessibility toolbar so you can enlarge text or switch to high contrast
- Added a pause button to the video on our homepage
- Test the site regularly with automated tools (such as WAVE, axe and Google Lighthouse), along with manual checks
Known limitations
Some content on this site comes from other companies, such as embedded YouTube videos, downloadable PDF documents and our Facebook page. We can’t fully control the accessibility of that content, but we choose providers with accessibility in mind, and we’ll gladly help you get the same information another way.
