The Moravians became one of the greatest moves of God in modern day history! They became the modern-day mission sending organization to every continent worldwide.
This came because of God moving in them to do continual powerful prayer, 24/7, and it lasted for 100 years! They began with 48 people, which became 300. They changed the world because God honored their prayers and moved them to send missionaries around the world for the sake of Jesus!
Can you imagine personally taking 1-hour prayer segments several times a week in order to move the work of God within you and flowing out to others? This was a real sacrifice of faith. They wouldn’t continue with it if God hadn’t been moving! This move of God happened because the Moravians allowed God to give them unity as a result of turning from their ideological camps. Using Count Zinzindorf in Germany (1727), God united Anti-Baptists, Lutherans, Calvinists, Charismatics & others; having them release their spiritual prejudices and true unity took place. The group began sharing and loving one another. They confessed all things to one another in groups of 3-6. They studied together and prayed for one another for months. Out of this, pure hearts became a trademark, so that unity could take place; therefore, God moved. This illustrated the oneness Jesus spoke of in John 17:22 “I have given them the glory that You gave Me, that they may be one as We are One. I in them and You in Me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that You sent Me and have loved them even as You have loved Me.”
This unity of oneness with each other, means that they were able to share and pray deeply for each other and for their holiness, in order to do His work. The lack of unity needed to be healed before God could miraculously move in them and through them. Their lack of unity caused quarreling amongst them, which distracted from what God wanted to do. When they humbled themselves, being in fuller submission to God and one another; then God’s directions for them became clear. They were moved to pray all night; then suddenly there was a move of God (Revival broke out) on Aug. 3, 1727. God transformed their hearts and called them to pray 24/7 for 100 years. They were then used to send missionaries to every continent in the name of Jesus. Millions have been impacted. Their willingness to follow the Lord wholeheartedly, growing in total love for Him as well as their neighbors; released this powerful work of God.
